Intermittent T-Stat trouble??

Featured Replies

Ok, for the last 3 months approx. my temperature has been rising to "fan level", meaning, to the point of when the fans would turn on..

Odd thing is, its been doing it while im driving..

Last week or so, when i first drive my car after it warms up, the temp will goto "fan level", fans will kick on, temp comes down, temp goes back up, fans go back on, then everything seems to be normal..

So, with that said, do i maybe have a t-stat going out?

same thing was going on with me , changed the t-stat and the temp gauge stays steady after it opens up

I was just considering removing mine. Just wanted second opinions so that i dont remove a working part.

t stat is typically really easy to remove, like 2 bolts. pull it and find out.
