I just bought a very nice '84 brat from the original owner. It is in excellent condition (I will post some pics as soon as I get time) except I have one small problem.

 

When I have to turn sharply like when I am parking my car in a spot I hear this loud squeaking noise coming from the front left. It sounds like a door hinge on a squeaky door, but much louder. I haven't had time to check to see what exactly it could be so I thought maybe there were some suggestions. If you could please post a little detail of how to check what you are suggesting that would be nice too

Does the sound occur when the steering wheel is turning or when the wheels are turning?

 

It happens when I turn hard right when the wheels are turning.
