Somehow we managed to loose the last run...looked very similar to run 5 tho...I hate we lost it. Was going to do one more run, but I decided to stop since its a tad lean... :-\ well, ok, a TON lean. :banghead: Looks like injectors go static at 4k...under 15 PIS steady. this time.

I atribute the 10/10 loss with the 3 way cat and 2 inch cat back...as before with no cat and 2.5 inch stright pipe, it was 10/10 more.

First three runs are on stock boost. 4th on 15 PSI. 5th...the one we lost, was also on 15 PSI. 6th run...ha...like I said, since it was lean, we didnt run a 6th time.

Ok, food and pack the car up...im tired too.

Yeah....i was fairly sure the injectors were going to 100% duty cycle.

and dude. WAY Too lean....you should be in the 11's for AFR ?!?!?!?!

I think around 12-13 PSI is where the injectors will his 100%....seems weird that subaru would fuel cut at that PSI doesn't it ;)

your stock boost is just about what my friend found today, when he threw the wideband on his car...it was real good...but that was 8 PSI of boost...anymore and it's gonna get intersting...he's also running catless exhaust, cone filter, and intercooler

it was the gremlin cut. that 1/4 of a second cutout that i have a problem with. the other 2 RX's and my wagon never did that.

However...if i pump it up another 1~2 psi...it will fuel cut...the REAL cut...as in, no fuel until boost comes back down.

I did tune it back down %4...which is about 1.5 PSI lower.

Good to see you are still at it Will and with air/fuel ratio info this time as well.

I'd be quaking in my boots with an air/fuel ratio like your 15psi run. Thank for showing that info. I know what I won't be trying to do. :brow: Your stock air/fuel ratio mirrors my last dyno run air/fuel ratio exactly. Interesting!

Do you ping at 15 psi, Will?

I've always assumed that no ping = go for it! I guess I'm going to have a melted piston one of these days....

I have no idea what my AF's/EGT's are - I really need to get a gague installed... but my sparkplugs were white when I changed them out...

it WAY too lean to boost beyond 12 psi for track stuff...autox and SHORT (less than 5 seconds) busts are ok.

that was NOT ping. that was the fuel cut gremlin. notice how it goes FULL lean when it cuts?

just cause it's lean don't mean it'll ping..

Ping is detonation or preignition....

Lean is just that.....lean....it'lls run way hot and melt pistons....after a long pull you might ping ...

which is why there will be no more 13+ psi...i limit to 12~12.5.

Will,

Did you take the dyno run pics down already? Dang, I'm trying to reread, re-compare, re-note some info about your runs and they aren't coming up. Just trying to be sure it's not my internet connection.
