  1. Old thread but I have been dealing with this EXACT problem on my 1989 Subaru XT6. The turn signals come on but they do not flash. It's just a solid light inside and outside of the car. However, you can hear it sounding like a really fast flash, inside the car. It's almost a constant sound rather than a tick, tick (Sounds turn signals make when they are flashing on and off). Here's a link to a video I made it on Facebook (if the link works), under Kevin Thomas XT6 Turn Signal problem
  2. Omg...GARY! What's up Hotdog? Long time my brotha! Glad to see you still around. Thanks for the post! Huck posted in Facebook and said he had his at 11 degrees. I'll be having it set back at +10 degrees advance next week. I miss the instant throttle response and midrange torque. I like my XT6 being a little exaggerated.
  3. It's been many years since I've advanced my XT6's ignition timing. Did a FWD with cams and my current AWD with stock cams. Tested on the dyno and remember going as far as 10 degrees advanced on 93 octane. Gained 5whp up top and about 10whp in the midrange with a nice midrange torque boost (which is what I'm about...midrange torque on this car). Just had a shop change out the spark plugs, wires and disty. How far have you folks advanced your ignition timing for power?
  4. Listen to these guys. They know their stuff. I had one without issues but was extremely lucky apparently. First order of operations is to make sure your cooling system is ok. Then I'd have the fuel injectors cleaned and brought back to life. What I noticed was m #1 and #3 fuel injectors were worse than my #2 and #4. I noticed that those two injectors were close to the turbo itself. And lastly, an intercooler. I had all three of these done and the car ran reliably. Can't say you will be so lucky though. Good luck!
  5. My apologies. It looks like it is just the turbo and up-pipe. With that mistake, price reduced to $110. Trying to attach some pics.
  6. ***Old Thread*** Haven't been on the board in ages. I plan on getting rid of a few things in my basement. Just wanted to give a heads up that I'll be selling this turbokit. I was holding on to it after my old RX Turbo's frame rusted to death, in the hopes of getting another RX turbo or XT turbo to put it on. Turns out my turbo Subaru Outback, modified XT6, supercharged RAV4 and modified Honda Fit it taking up all my time. I will probably never own another old school Subaru again. Happy with my Impreza and XT6. That said, I will post current pics of it. It'll be on sell for $150. I am in no rush to sell and if no-one is interested, that's cool because I know as soon as I sell it, someone will probably be knocking on my door with an RX turbo car or something ridiculous. I just want to put this this out there early on. There was nothing wrong with the turbo and piping when I removed it. The car was running fantastic. Was just about to crank the boost but the frames and suspension were so rusted, it actually fell down on itself on a lift at a Subaru dealership. Lol..too funny! Enough of the story. Just giving a heads up. I'll post up some current pics when I get around to it. But yeah, $150 for the piece. Is this even available anymore?
  7. Man.....I want one. Still dream of my XT6 converted to have this engine. It's gonna happen. Love this build!
  8. Very interesting and informative thread. Great looking XT. Thanks for posting.
  9. Go figure I go reading this thread all the way up to the dyno point. Oh man! Now I'll be in suspense! Not good! The last time I looked at this thread was way back in March. I didn't think it was going to happen. I'm an idiot!
  10. Omg what!??! Who, where, how can this be done? Even if for between 2500 - 5000, that is awesome. I'd like the same for my XT6. Please...Pm if necessary.
  11. Nico, This may be for another thread but do you have any future plans for your XT6? A build of some sort? If not, have you done anything to it yet and if so, what? Thanks!
