April 16, 200520 yr Hay i was readin about converting my brumby to RWD by removing the front cv shafts. my question is this, if i remove the shafts will this make my steering lighter? because as far as i know the brats/brumbies didn't come out with power steering (well mine doesn't have it and ive never seen one with it)
April 16, 200520 yr Brumbys did come with power steering. RWD will make steering lighter when driving, but wont make much if any difference when you are stationary or going very slow.
April 17, 200520 yr I didn't notice any difference in my steering since I drove my '78 Brat with no front axles for about 4 months. Just did the coolest burnouts evAr:drunk:
April 17, 200520 yr [as far as i know the brats/brumbies didn't come out with power steering (well mine doesn't have it and ive never seen one with it) Hate to disagree with you but they did, but make sure before attempting to fit this that your heads are drilled to accept the pulley mount.
April 17, 200520 yr RWD will eliminate torq steer which basically is lightening the steering. why dont you just get a rack and pinoin that has powersteering? it unbolts in the 6 bolts
