Got's no spark! Why??? FIXED!

Featured Replies

I noticed you have an accel coil in there. Maybe it decided to die? and You probably checked the basics right? Like the coil being hooked up right? Maybe the wire from the coil to the disty? I give this simple answers because I hope the fix is simple...which ,in my case, is my problem, usually.

With SPFI...do you use an electronic disty...like the MPFI turbos, with the crank position sensor in it?

BTW, what are you doing with that weber? Once you get your SPFI to work.

The Accel was in there before and I also put it in my brother's 87 SPFI car and it was good. Yes, the ditsy is electronic like the MPFI. I checked the polarity of the coil and it's wired right. I also put the original coil back in with no change.

It runs! Turned out to be a grounding issue with the base of the ignitor. Ran a wire from there to a grounding point on the engine and whala! I have spark! :burnout:
