Dash apart....can't plug back together!!

Featured Replies

Geeze, this is a bad as the first time I changed my spark plug wires and pulled them off of the distributor at the same time!

I pulled my dash out and should have marked the electrical stuff. Lucky for me, I realized that towards the end and marked the wires that plug in a the top. But I have some others that I can't figure out where they go.

On the odometer side of the dash, I have a big and small rectangular combo...they are the same size as the ones that plug into the lights, but rather than being solid white connectors, they are off white (if that means anything....).

On the driver's side, I just want to make sure of one thing. I have a male and female connector left, one is off white and one is white. One is from the dash, one from the car The wires leading into each of them are all blue, except a black wire on each. They fit together? (I just didn't remember seperating anything with different male/female colors. If I knew how to upload photos I would. Anyone have a photo of their non-gl10 dash? Or just some sound advice

from what it sounds like, those connectors plug into the top of the instrument cluster above the "telltale" meter - I may be wrong - I will see if I can get pics of my dash - but it will be a few days before I can - also, I think the connectors are set up so that you cannot plug wrong ones together, but I may be wrong - sorry you are running into troubles :(

Thanks. I knew you had the same model as me and was hoping to catch yuour attention. One of the items was for the rear defogger, the other I couln't find a match to and everything seems to check out. You helped my confidence when you said everything should fit together....so I went for it and it worked....the car didn't blow up or anything!!

when i pulled off my dash, the connectors are colour coded, white - white, blue - blue, brown- brown and the ones from the tell-tale should only go into its partner
