May 14, 200520 yr Author Im gonna jack up my car and shake every joint and linkage in the suspension and steering and see if i can funs where it is coming fromIs it possiable for the front diff or the splined shafts on the gear box to make this noise, it can also be felt
May 16, 200520 yr I had some clunking sounds that went away when I put new front struts in. One sound was a clunk whenever I'd hit the brakes, and another sounded like the axle was bad, and it would go away when I'd let off the gas.
