May 16, 200520 yr What might happen if you put the right strut on the left hand side. (Lots of rattling)? especilly when going over curbs.?
May 16, 200520 yr I don't really recall on my Subie, but on BMWS the offset is different and the tires can rub the spring perch.
May 16, 200520 yr Author I noticed a stamp on the struts for L, and R but there was no difference in the struts. But I am going to check it out tonight. (opefully) the noise is driving me nuts.

May 16, 200520 yr Author Well everything whent together good. Im starting to think that the top of the coilspring isn't alined properly with the to of the strut plate.

Im starting to think that the top of the coilspring isn't alined properly with the to of the strut plate. well i went to the shop tonight and took out my struts and noticed everything was good. so i replaced my ball joints and put my sway bar links in and everything is perfect. all of this took me only two hours, everything whent perfect, no noises no clunking and everything is fixed. Im so happy, I thought I was in to deep trouble with this noise. thanks for all your guy's help:)

May 27, 200520 yr Author So, the ball joints were the noisy part? Yes balljoints was the problem. The rubber boot was ripped on the ball joint and there was no grease. Ball joint had play and control arm was slapping around as well cause the nut was not tight.
