What do people do to raise a Legacy to the height of an Outback or higher?Peter S I just push a button on the dash and up it goes an inch or two. Any higher and I need to get out the floor jack. I suppose if you were realy determined you could retrofit an air suspension to your car but I wouldn't recommend it. Parts are really expensive when they start to go. They were found in some 90 to 94 Legacys.
May 19, 200520 yr Well, as to raising it, follow this thread. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=36166&page=1&pp=10 But seasonal change is another matter. As the saying goes, you can do ANYTHING if you throw enough money at it.

May 19, 200520 yr What models and years have this push button feature?Peter S As far as I know it was only on the Legacy LS wagon with the automatic transmisson from 90 to 94. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
June 1, 200520 yr I would NEVER,EVER put an air suspension into my car. They are bags of crap, and when the air/crap mixture leaks out (they all do) if you fill it full of $100 bills, the height increases again. BTW, they always leak on one side so you look like a dope going down the road. Also reason for the police to stop you and (depending on your city/state/county) laws, can cite you for operating an unsafe vehicle. I've done it several times, including impounding the car.
