ride height changes easily?

Wondering about the ability to change the ride height easily for snow/winter driving and lower for summer. Was there a model that used air or something else stock? What do people do to raise a Legacy to the height of an Outback or higher?

I just push a button on the dash and up it goes an inch or two. Any higher and I need to get out the floor jack. :)

I suppose if you were realy determined you could retrofit an air suspension to your car but I wouldn't recommend it. Parts are really expensive when they start to go. They were found in some 90 to 94 Legacys.

As far as I know it was only on the Legacy LS wagon with the automatic transmisson from 90 to 94.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I would NEVER,EVER put an air suspension into my car. They are bags of crap, and when the air/crap mixture leaks out (they all do) if you fill it full of $100 bills, the height increases again. BTW, they always leak on one side so you look like a dope going down the road. Also reason for the police to stop you and (depending on your city/state/county) laws, can cite you for operating an unsafe vehicle. I've done it several times, including impounding the car.
