Ff1?

Featured Replies

It was the first "real" car Subaru sold here. Front wheel drive, 1000cc, 1100cc or 1300cc (Very rare even then) engine, 4-speed manual shift. Available as a 2 or 4 door sedan or a small split-tailgate station wagon. The homepage's image gallery has some scans of the original brochures; sometimes parts show up but I've only seen one car for sale in the past five years (plus three parts cars in Alabama, on the old board, by someone styling himself as "fourguzzis").

I didn't know if it was the first purpose built "sports" car by subaru. The only picture I have seen is of one prepared in racing decals.

If the FF1 you saw is on this page it belongs to a girl near Invercargill in NZ. Her father had a subaru dealership and the FF1 in the photo has a 74 GSR motor in it. And yes they are very rare. The racing one is in mint condition.
