  1. Is there an easy way to replace frost plugs. Need to do two in 75DL1400 and &72GSR. Do I need to take the engine out. I have undone the mounts and lifted the motor but not enough room to tap plugs in. Ideas and suggestions thanks.

The guy who owns the gold GSR and the GFT owns his own wrecking yard and specialises in old subarus. There is also a FFI in his work shop.

  17. Hi James long time since we talk. I got a new booster for my GSR no problem. I also got new rack ends as well. You shouldn't have any worries getting them from your local subie dealer. Or Repco. They are the same as the 1600 models. Your GSR is looking really good. Must meet one day in Dunedin(halfway)and get some photo's of our cars together. You have a DL1400 as well don't you. I am about to start restoring mine. When I get it finished it would look awesome to have both GSR's and DL's together.
  18. Did you try that one in Cromwell. Get your dad to try and get it. It is a 74. It was in going condition when I saw it last. It come with trident mags as well.
  19. might have to start a GSR, GL and GFT club after seeing Wiamaks coupe.
  20. We have had one for about 5 yrs now. It was in storage in Invers and is now in a shed on a local farm waiting to be fixed up. I have to finish the Brumdy first. I have put a lift kit in the rear and I am working on the front end at the moment. The DL we have was owned by an eldrly couple and the old fella died and they where going to take it to the wreckers. I gave the old lady $200. The back seat has never been sat in. It does have some rust. We get it out every six months or so and go for a cruise. No cops up here as it isn't reg or warrented. Cheers Kevin
  21. No sorry the GSR is staying at home. Might get stolen in CHCH. I have a yellow DL1400 exactly the same as yours. There is a wrecker in invers who has two in his yard the same colour. Alot of salvageable parts on them. Cheers Kevin
  22. Hi James been along time. Car looks awesome. Email your address again so I can visit you the next time I am in ChCh. I should be up there before chrismas. Cheers Kevin
  23. I am putting in a 2" lift into my brat. I assume that I have to alter the linkage for the hi lo lever. Has anyone got photos of this alteration or any photos of lift kits being put in. I have the rear end done and am about to start on the engine. Anything I should watch out for? Thanks for any help!
