Motor driven fan broken, how to get it off completely?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

So, I'm having trouble getting the motor driven fan completely off my 84 turbo wagon...I've included pics for your enjoyment.

So, in these two pics you see the motor driven fan pulley...With whats left of the fan...I've taken it off completely, but I can't get off the broken little nub there.

Do I undo those 4 bolts and completely remove and replace the whole pulley assembly?

Thanks guys,

Daniel

unbolt it after that the rest will be obvious.

yep, after you unbolt it, you can pull the rest of the fan off. Then either replace the fan, or just bolt the pulley back on.

yup the other guys are right undo the 4 nuts and things will come apart, you may have do use a little muscle if it has been a long time since it was last taken off. i know with mine i had to put a flatblade screwdriver between the fan piece and the pulley to pry it apart
