In a clam shell you have to know about NOS.

NOS is a vapor that is extremely volitile. When injected into your engine it combusts alot harder than gas giving you more power. Now notice I said VAPOR, not fuel. When you inject a "dry" shot into your engine you are not mixing it with more fuel. Essentially you are putting more into your cylinders than fuel and thus you now have a lean condition.

 

Everyone knows air burns hotter than fuel. Now you are mixing a form of air with less gas to "balance the equation" to speak into an enclosed space"cylinder" When it ignites it iwill be wayyyy hotter than normally which could melt pistons, and intake manifolds, along with scortch your cylinder walls.

 

A "wet" system squirts the NOS in with more fuel and it is also atomised because it comes out of your injector than your intake valves which is where a dry system comes out.

 

 

In short dry=bad.....wet=good
