Has anyone out there ever replaced the vavle-stem seals on one of these engines? Do I have to pull the head to do it? Are there any special tools to use?

 

In a related question, why does the gasket set I'm looking at say it only has 4 seals? Does one of the valves not use a seal?

I have a good book on the ea63s and will look it up to see what I can find out for you. I fully reconditioned the GSR motor and I think there are only two seals to each side. Not sure if it goes on the exhaust or inlet valves.

Intakes only as I recall.
