??? timing belt/rich

Featured Replies

Confused I posted early about timing belt and got message back on 2 timing belts I only have one.

I tried counting 44 on pass and 40.5 on driver don't understand how it can stay in time.

I can get it to run it misses a little around 3500 but it still runs real rich black smoke

Had it at a gararge and they said all sensors were good and they could'nt get it to run and now I have it at home they said it was pumping alot of gas into injectors..

Trying to get it to run for my son in college

What kind of car/engine is it? What is your question?

it is a 90 legacy with a 92 legacy motor in it has 90 intake on the 92 motor did not want to play around with wiring harness

Just from what I've read you might have an ecu prob, or bad injectors causing it to pour more gas than needed. Hard to say what it is exactly w/o looking at it. I dont know what method the people who looked at your car used when they looked at the sensors, sometimes things dont come up without using an oscilliscope/multimeter when it doesnt have the car toss a trouble code (and a lot of places do rely on the car to have one or "it's not a huge problem")
