So im thinking about cutting off the VF11+ flange and welding on the VF7 flange.

No. They function just fine for smaller turbos. Its the large internally gated ones that need a slightly better DW design...or a well thought out bellmouth.

 

Otherwise, the DW will be way more than ok for the VF7. Anything is better than the stocker at this point.

Why not just swap the turbo to a VF11 or TD04?

That is the kinda what I will be doing with my downpipe except I will be fabing the flange and pipe myself, unless that way is cheaper. How much for the D-pipe?
