well it IS a 12 spd. 5 in low, 5 in high...1 each in reverse.

told you..lock the stupid thing and drive it.

You're not allowed to count reverse when you say "speed" .. like the ea81 4 speed (12 spd w/ fwd, 4hi, 4lo) .. or like the ea82t 5 speed (10 spd, awd hi, awd low)

Interesting as in a D/R EJ trannie? If that is possible I could do my 6in lifted (3" suspension 3" body) impreza coupe on 30s . though probibly not.

I had a 6 speed automatic for a couple of days... all the gears were forward, so that makes it a 6-speed, right?

whats what? and whats the advantage of the 2.5rs diff? is it split 50/50 like the wrx?

its a viscous center that keeps the 50/50 split better...instead of an open center thats 100/0 or 44/56 or 30/70 or whatever at any given time.

I was thinking maybe we could make our center diffs work like the DCCD on the STi. I'll have to talk to Andrew again to see what we'd have to do but it might be possible...
