It is all in pdf format. Do a search on this forum to find tips on how to do the download.
August 1, 200520 yr The real problem is that there is no complete manual for a 98 Impreza, You will need to get the 1993 through 1998 volumns. If you get just the 98 manual, it will only have those things that have changed for 98, some of the sections will be missing because they were covered in an earlier manual. Subaru went back to the single manual for each year with the 2000 model year. You might get that one (set), it should cover most of what you need.
August 1, 200520 yr i have a 99 electronic manual, genuine subaru which covers both engine types and entire car. the transmissions changed for 99, but would otherwise probably be fairly representative of a 98 imprezza. i got it on ebay for around $20. amounts to about 2 ft high stack of paper if all printed. There is also a service where you can download the info from subaru for a limited time unlimited download for a fee roughly in that price range
