SakoTGrimes
I drove the 92 Loyale to WinCo a couple hours ago and while it was warming up it made noises that sounded like an electric drill press at high RPM. It went away when the engine RMP settled down to 750 but did it again off and on while I was driving. It didn't sound to me like a belt squeaking and I forgot to open the hood and look (it was dark anyway) Has anybody expiereinced this before? I also think I smelled friction, kinda like the smell my old Camaro used to make when I would dump the clutch.
idosubaru
sounds like an auto antenna is ruled out if a legacy even has one.

SakoTGrimes
Power steering fluid is fine... radiator fan's been removed... didn't make the noise today. Maybe just a visiting gremlin?
