Featured Replies

Starting a f/brake job on 99 2.2 auto trans Legacy w/15in wheels; anything special or nasty things i should be on the look out for. I'm very thorough & want to do thejob right the first time.

Thanks & ALOHA

Use Subaru pads...don't skimp on that...they are good pads and last a long time.

Use some anti-squeel paste or whatever...

its pretty simple...good luck!

use anti seize on the pad slides and make sure you put everything back in.

use NAPA Ceramix pads... I've got over 50k on the front pads on my 01 OBW and I only got 23k out of the OEM pads...

That's 50k with NOT 1 cleaning of the obnoxious brake dust that most pads give off...

I paid $144 for both front and back pads at the dealer for my 96 Outback. Not to bad...better than replacing pads every 10,000 miles :-x

Yea, The don't dust, feel good, and stop the car well.

FWIW, I paid about $90 for the front set of Akebono ProACT ceramic pads that I installed on the front of my BMW 530. So $144 is about right.
