The other day the AC/Heater Fan in my Impreza starting making this horrible rattling noise. It only does it on the two highest speeds. You can feel the Vibration just below the glove box. Can anyone take a stab at what the problem might be and how to fix it? Thanks

Might be a leaf or twig stuck in there.

 

I'd suggest taking the fan out. It's not too hard.

Should I replace it or something? The rerason I ask is it is about 120 Miles from any kind of Auto Parts store or anything. I have it parked out at the Gas Field where I work. Thanks

Same thing happened to me and while I was asking question here and looking for a new fan motor, it stopped.

Like 777, I think it's probably a debris of some kind that's stuck in the fan.

It's behind the glove box or in that vicinity. Take it out and see what's in there. Probably no need to replace the motor.
