well not on all the time only when is cold and the gas pedal is bearly depressed a quick stomp on the gas and it goes off and stays off i think it is the TPS but MAF this is my 3dr (which sat since 95 with a bad coil fuse take that curtsey subaru) my daily driver the cel does not really bother me but i would like it to stay off so which to replace first

 

also there is not a stored code in the ecm so

Before replacing anything by guesswork I would check the ECU codes the next time this happens. Don't try to clear the problem until you know what code is setting off the CEL. You are most likely correct about the TPS and maybe just cleaning it would do the job.
