What I'd like is any vacuum hose diagram for a 1982 GLF Automatic EA81.

 

 

Basically,what I really want to know is why there's no hose going to a particular junction near the distributor,but NOT the distributor vacuumitself.It's down near the intake.I'll need some more daylight,without rain this time,thank you,to get a better description.

Paul, on an 82, I have a steel vacuum line/connection that is parallel tot the line for the disty vac advance. The rubber hose goes from this up to a metal connection on the air filter housing almost directly above (front most of a pair of fitings).

 

Is this the one???

Yes,Pat,thanks.I just got it all sorted out even thought I failed to get sunlight involved.:-p Tools still around,they're nice 'n safe in my alarmed storage hole.I'll get them out to you for Christmas. ...or much sooner.
