Would it be posible to put the struts from a 97 outback to a 95 legacy ls awd? all the sheetmetal should be the same, such as doors,rear hatch and those type of things?

The Outback has higher ground clearance compared to the LS. I think the Outback struts are a tad longer but should interchange,

Yep, in fact thats an upgrade to some that is working in at least 4 cars that I know of.
