  1. I'm going to be replacing head gaskets and putting on a set of heads that have been off the engine for more than a year, and was wondering what things i might want to do to prevent future problems. Also wondering about bleeding valves if it would be needed and how to do it. Thanks Steve
  2. Car started to run poorly and ran the check engine light and came up with po107 and was wondering what i might have to replace. Thanks Steve
  3. Has there been a post that explains how to remove, bleed, and replace Hydralic lash Adj on a 95 2.2 engine. I can't find them anywhere in my Haines manual. Thanks Steve
  4. Is there a post that someone can send me that would tell me where these hla's are. I can't find them anywhere in my Haines manual. How to remove bleed and replace them. Thanks Steve
  5. I put a 95 2.2 dual port exhaust engine in a 98 Legacy L wagon that had a 2.2 single port exhaust engine in it. Started the engine and it ran perfect for about 15 min. and then the check engine light came on and the passenger side of the engine started making a lifter noise. If you raise the rpm's the noise goes away and even at regulart idle the engine runs real smooth. The 2 codes came up po122 throttle position sensor a low input and po106 manifold absolute pressure. So i was wondering if i need to change the computer as well because something is different. Any help would be great. Steve
  6. Easy rule of thumb, if you start with 205/70-15 and go to a 215/65-15 it will be within 1/4 inch overall dia. and a little wider. An easy way to convert, is using the first 2 numbers you take the 205 and go to a 215 thats going up 1 size to the rule is to stay real close you have to take the second number down 1 which would be to the 65 series sidewall. Been selling tires for 15 years. Good luck
  7. I just bought a 97 Legacy gt that the guy was in way over his head and now i'm thinking i might be also. He put in a JDM motor and drove the car about 10.000 miles and developed a hesitation, when a idle the engine runs perfect. When you try to speed up you get a hesitation and a little bit of a chuging, but at certain rpms it does smooth out and run good. I have a flashing check engine light and the code comes up p1101 Manufacture control fuel and air meter. also have 2 other codes po500 speed sensor a and po325 knock sensor 1 bank 1. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks Steve
  8. Would a 5 speed from a 99 Forester work on a 97 legacy with a 2.2 engine?
  9. Has anyone tried this stuff, and if so what kind of result did you have? Thanks Steve HOLTS "RADWELD PLUS" SEALS RADIATOR LEAKS 250ML
  10. No head gasket just did those, new radiator, heater core, water pump, Thermostat everything i could think of has been done. It's a 97 Legacy Outback with the 2.5. I can drive it and the temp. gauge reads normal for about 40-50 miles then it bounce around and if you stop it will need a 1/2 to a full gallon of antifreeze. When i leave in the mourning i check the overflow bottle and it's half full, but when i stop and leave the car running after driving it for about a half hour it's full to the top and bubbling. Anyone have any other ideas? Steve P.S Has anyone had any luck using this stuff, looks like the same bottle that Subaru uses. HOLTS "RADWELD PLUS" SEALS RADIATOR LEAKS 250ML
