Im wondering if a 1981 Brat Topper will fit on my 85' Brat. I really appriciate any information or advice!

Gen1 (78-81) shells, will not fit Gen2 (82-87)...

 

the Gen2's are about 4" wider.

And gen 1 rollbars won't work either. Neither will the seat headrest pillars, they're too short.

if you cut 2" out of the legs that go to the wheel well on a gen1 rollbar, it will sit properly in a Gen2, but be a little narrower than a proper Gen2 bar...
