93 Legacy front end trouble, please help me out

Featured Replies

Hi-

My 93 Legacy (auto trans) is just out of its break in period (300K) and has developed a strange problem; intermitently, at low speed and while turning sharply, the front end tends to grab and lurch much the same as a 4-wheel drive truck will, also when put in park the drive line seems to remain loaded until the key is turned off at which time the problem resets itself for a time. Also, the front tires are wearing abnormally. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Torque bind

Research the subject here lots and lots of threads on it.

Install a fuse in the FWD fuse holder under the hood on the pass side near the windsheild wiper motor and it should go away. The front tire wear is from the tirres scrubbing due to teh AWD being locked up.
