Hey I noticed your a new board member from Reno. Well low and behold I live there too! Ever think about taking that GL-10 you got wheelin? hehe :drunk: Brian (thesubarujunkie) and I get together every once in a while and hit some trails off hwy 50. Your welcome to join us one of these days. Just let us know!

hahaha

GL10... offroad???

One of you guys has to lift your subes soon so i have someone to wheel with.

-Brian

Uh, yeah..what Tim said. Although wasn't that a GL-10 that got stuck in the mud:lol:? Was very impressed with Ross' stock height 3-door on the trails and mud, tho.

(Just pokin' a little fun, Tim)

Yeah, i got proven wrong over the weekend in Oregon. Tony has a GL10 with 27" mudders and a 2" rear lift. He welded his diff and went everywhere me and Adam went, and alot faster too might I add.

Don't worry NV Zeno I did not forget about you. :D Now there are a few more of us in the area I think it's time for a mini meet.

Oh and Brian my first subaru was a GL-10 turbo auto. I did some crazy mountain climbing with it. :dead: But yes one of us needs to lift our soobs.

lol im slow i just decided to look in this forum and saw this, yea i'd like to meet up with some people around here in reno, i need to work on my Wagon, maybe i could get some help if anyone around here knows about the air suspension im having problems with it.

-Matt-

Im in sacramento, aprox 2 hours from there (depends on which Subaru I take). Would love to have a meet in Reno, or better yet... some trails in Tahoe. Jeremy knows of some nice places up near Truckee to have a small get together. Dave, when are you moving to Nevada?

-Brian

yea im up for a meet, plus i get all the free parts i want from a local junkyard here so if anyone locally around here needs some parts i can normally get them pretty easily (well most of the time) :D

And Once i get the 4wd working on my car i'd love to go wheelin and see what this car can do, as long as im not from the wrong side of the railroad tracks since i own a jeep too

Which yard? Are there many subaru's? There's a junk yard in Carson City that has all the parts i need. Ive been thinking of going up there, but i have to sell a computer 1st before I can afford the parts.

-Brian

From American Auto Wrecking In Reno, My Fiancees Mom Works there and i get all the parts i need, they have a few subarus 87 Gl Wagon, 85 GL Wagon, 87 GL-10 Turbo Sedan, 84-86(?i havent looked at it) DL Wagon, and i think there are a few older ones buried in the upper yard i can take a look this weekend.

American Auto Wrecking is one yard I'v never checked out. I've been to D&D, D&S, airport wrecking and PnP.

Oh and on your air shocks just replace them with standard spring struts. Thats what I had to do with my old 87 GL-10.

Ok we are gonna have to plan a meet before the snow flys.

See ya. :drunk:

PnP Has some good parts has some good parts now and then but since the price went up to $2 just to get in i hate paying that just to walk around and them not have what i need (yea i know im cheap) hehe

Let me know when you guys are meeting up and i will definetly try to make it :D

It's still a dollar to get into the Carson City yard. :D

lol i dident know that, i dont get out the way of carson too much to tell the truth ive never been in the carson PnP maybe ill have to go out there one of these days.

-Matt-

Carson City is a HEAVEN for older sube's. There has to be at least 40 of them there.

I wont have any free time for a couple weeks. And we need to find a day where our schedules all match. I have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off... but I can specify to get a day off if i give enough notice at work.

-Brian

The Carson yard is closed on Sundays, Brian and I found out the hard way, LOL.

Hey Brian-I found that extra radiator fan we were discussing awhile back..you still interested?

(amazing what turns up when cleaning out a garage, LOL)

Always interested in spare parts... no need for it, but maybe i can rig it for use in the garage as an exhaust fan :)
