October 25, 200520 yr EASY. Swap trans with shifters attached, and get the plastic console piece that snaps in to cover them. As they say in Germany, das ist alles.
October 26, 200520 yr The dual range may be missing the neutral position switch, which will throw a code. Other than that, its plug and play.

October 26, 200520 yr Did it to my 86, pretty easy just make sure you get the intierior covers with the slot for the 4wd lever and the levers and linkage. And there is the neutral safety switch thing but it doesn't really effect anything. If you are JUST switching the transmission make sure that your rear diff ratio matches the tranny ratio. Good luck
