Hey all

 

So my girlfriend has a 90 legacy sedan 2.2 and she trashed the engine ( long story)

 

I found a 92 legacy wagon with the same 2.2 Can I just drop it in or is it going to be a ECU, harness change

Yep should plug right in.Shouldn't be much differences if any on the wiring.

It's not quite a direct swap.

 

Is her car and the donor automatic or manual?

 

There were some sensor differences between the 90-91 MY's and the 92-94 MY's. The engine electrical connector plug changed I think mid year....so that may be something you'll have to look into. It's not a big deal...you just have to swap the electrical harness.

I just switched the intake off the old motor to the new motor. then it went right in
