October 31, 200520 yr I have the problem with my "new" EA82T car, that the engine revolutions are between approx. 1,500 to 2000 rpm while the car is stationary. That is "a bit" too much. What could be the cause of that? Does someone have an idea?

Is it a L series ?
October 31, 200520 yr high idle valve stuck open....or improper idle adjustment. I second that. Patrick
October 31, 200520 yr Behind the throttle body assembly. It will have a small brass piece with a provision for adjustment via a flathead screwdriver. Turn it in(like you are tightening a screw) to lower the idle, and back it off(unscrew) to increase idle.
October 31, 200520 yr High idle valve is on top of the t-stat housing...has a plug with two wires going to it.
November 1, 200520 yr DOH!!! I was thinkin' about the idle adjustment screw. That is what I get for staying up for more than 24 hours.
