motor/trans mount interchange

Featured Replies

Will Impreza motor mounts fit in place of Legacy motor mounts on a '90 EJ22? (car is an '86 GL10 FYI)

I don't feel I can afford new mounts and would like to know what my options are regarding used mounts or ebay mounts.

thanks...

Yes the mounts are interchangable. Make sure you get the rubber mount & the mounting bracket. Depending on the type of mount liquid filled (round) or rubber (square) the bracket will be slightly different.

Not really......The liquid filled (round) mounts will probably provide more isolation/noise damping. The regular square ones are really pretty soft. The sti mounts use the same mold as the square ones, however the rubber is a much much harder rubber.

Sorry for the 3 year old thread, but i was curious if anyone had more info on this. I have the liquid filled round ones (atleast they were liquid filled) and they are super expensive.

How different is the bracket for the square ones?
