could i put together a decent system from the y pipe back without welding?i am thinking 2in to 2.5in straight pipe to a glasspack in the back.would there be much power increase?what would be the best choice for a muffler?i hear thrush makes a good product, but would it be this style:

immediately after the y pipe flange mount a 2in or 2 1/4 inch cherry bomb there, and run 2 1/2 inch after that to the back axle. if you curve it out the side 90 deg. before the tire you can use the stock exhaust mount from the body

I have the first one (the "turbo") on my loyal. Didn't really see any power increase. Nice sound though.

BTW: I got mine for 20 bucks down at the local auto parts store. Those two are going for 40 plus 15 bucks shipping.

How loud do you want it? The glass pack is going to be louder than the muffler.

Yea, but it's a lot quieter than an open exhaust system.

I have a glasspack hanging out under the car, and the sound is actually pretty decent. Unfortunately, it sounds really good at high RPM and wide open throttle, which isn't good for my fuel economy or my license.
