Need help finding a post

Featured Replies

I need to find a good post describing how to replace a head gasket. I just found my new baby, it is an 88 GL, 5 speed, turbo, with 130k. My neighbor is moving and needs to sell. He took it to a mechanic and had it diagnosed, it needs a new head gasket, other than that it runs perfect. Hes selling it for $400!!!!. I am taking it to my mechanic to check it over before I purchase it to make sure everything is good, but I am stoked.

Did you try the search function? You'll also get a better response if this is moved to older generation forum.

I would move your post but I cant. there are a ton of write ups on this. use the search feature try key words like head gasket. should come up with something, its an easy job that takes alot of work without planning. there should also be a write up in the repair section miles fox has a good one.
