paparaz
I have ask this question before, but having had a hard time figureing out how to use the site. Anyway I would like to put bigger tires on my 1990 legacy wagon front wheel dr only. This would give me better gas milage, and I know I will have to give up some off the line power. I have looked into lift kits and have been told by the Back Yard Boys that its anther project there working on. Would like rise her about 3 '' min. Any Help on what parts , part #'s or were to go to get struts to rise her for taller tires. Thanks for any help and or info. Paparaz
Snowman
You can put struts from a 97-99 Legacy Outback on your car. On AWD models, it raises it about 2". Your car may get more lift if it's lower than an AWD model. I really don't know if it would actually improve your mileage any. Raising the car will increase the frontal area and drag, and larger tires are harder to turn. Anybody that's actually done this care to give some MPG numbers to prove or disprove? jamal
Only FWD rear struts will fit, and I don't think there were any fwd outbacks.
