On my GL-10 Is the Trip Computer LED Screen (in the Middle of the dash) supposed to be back lit? or is it just dark from the factory, cause i cant even see the screen at night if it is supposed to be back lit can i replace a bulb or the whole thing?

In the display from my 85 with a trip computer, I had the same problem.

 

Just use a screwdriver or something to pry the display out of the dash.

I don't remember if you need to remove a cover from the back or not, but, there will be some of the "Subaru" light bulbs with the 1/4 turn plastic bases.
