howards11
The fan in my 2000 Forester is making a "whirring" noise that is driving me nuts unless I have the radio on. How do I get to the fan to give it a good cleaning out with some compressed air ? Suggestions please. Thanks ! ~Howard
Legacy777
You can remove the fan and clean the junk out of there. You need to remove the glove box and it should be like 3 screws holding the fan in the blower housing.

Setright
If the Dash is like my 2000 Impreza, I don't think you need to remove the glovebox. Just get under there with a short screwdriver...the motor is not hidden.
