DADs 98 outback project

Featured Replies

my dad bought a 98 outback from a co worker for 1500 bucks... the previous owner claimed the headgasket was bad.. and being thats an issue with this motor he wanted to sell. my dad picked it up after much talk with my mother and she fell in love with it. its loaded with everything. the car looks brand new. but it has 180k miles on it. and just the other day he finaly got the motor put back together after doing headgaskets, timing belt and a a hand full of other stuff. here are some picts of the project.

Good to go another 200k! Looks like this Subie has a good new home and people to care for it.

I'm impressed with how clean it is for being done in the car. Very healthy cylinder walls.

Car will run for another 300K with ease.
