November 28, 200520 yr Anybody know whos this is? I just thought... holy___! I had no idea people done this sort of thing to later model subies. What size tyres you think that subie is running?
November 28, 200520 yr 38.5x15.50-15inch micky tompson fun country kevlar..trust me, i know about tires 15x12inch rims... artic rigs are pretty cool, huge flares though, and not much lift
November 28, 200520 yr Yeah those guys are from Iceland. There's a few more pics around of them and some others. Look for the Brat/Brumby thats lifted loke that. Crazy stuff.
November 28, 200520 yr Author Yeah... I think I've seen the Brat like that. mega wide, not much lift. Stilll, I'd love to drive in a mud pit with one Makes what we do to our cars look small But then again, at least theres lots of pictures of our subies in action, unlike all of these "artic rigs"
November 28, 200520 yr Thats most likely a legacy body on a truck frame. Legacy suspension would not handle tires like that for any real 4x4ing. Too much leverage with tires that big and heavy and offset. Then theres gearing and axle strength issues.
November 28, 200520 yr yeah, we've gone over that car before. i think the conclusion we came to (by using a picture at a different angle) was that it's on a toyota frame and drivetrain because of the offset rear diff.
