I got a '99 Outbacl Legacy wagon a week ago and the front passenger door switch is showing the door open on the dash display and it will illuninate the dome light. Just had the panel off to replace the speaker and hit all the connectors with contact cleaner, no change. If I pull the door shut with the release, I can get the lights to go out, but the door isn't completly latched. When I push it shut from the outside, the lights come back on.

isnt the switch in the door frame by the B pillar or did they move it.

I can't find a switch on the exterior of the door.

It's on the frame at the rear of the door, ont on the door and the screw holding it was loose. Works now.

I kept looking on the door itself. Thanks
