I've been pondering a roll cage w/ roll bar incorporated down the road for my brat. Has anyone on the board built a roll cage for their Brat?

 

I'm thinking of making a basic style roll bar w/ tubing that comes into the cab from there and along the roof and then down to the foot area. Cross pieces would be there and all. The tubes that go past the occupants' heads would come into the cab through the sliding windows. I may also make a piece that goes along the floor. All of this will be as non-intrusive as possible as far as restricting entry and exit of the vehicle.

 

What do you all think? Is it worth all the effort as opposed to just a simple high roll bar?

I think it's a good idea for the roll cage.The only thing is if you want to compete in a rally competition you will need to check the rules as to the wall thickness of the tubing and the diameter and the grade steel that you will need to use.
