Kilvert's Pagan
Our 93 Impreza normally runs like a top. It's AWD and only has 59k miles on it. But every now and then it won't start without having to nearly flood it. (Normally we never have to touch the gas pedal at all to start it.) This typically only happens when it's been driven and then shut off for 30 minutes or so... pure cold starts are usually OK. Any insights would be welcome. I've taken it to one mechanic who, of course, couldn't reproduce the problem.
Setright
Start by replacing the coolant temperature sensor. (On the assumption that spark plugs and fuel filter are still in good condition.)

tunered
since this is a warm engine issue i would guess that a injector is sticking and flooding the engine,i would try some seafoam in the gas tank.
