I hit a deer the other night, and now I need a new headlight and a side-marker assembly. I was hoping the ones from my '86 would work, but the parts list I have shows '85-'86 and '87-'88 as being different parts.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Is the difference just cosmetic or are they different sizes?

they're just cosmetic differences. The orange part on the 85-56 is larger than it is on the 87-94.. I personally prefer the look of the 87-94 style and try to use those on all the soobs I have had.

 

I know the will cross fit. My 88 had 86 lights. my 90 also had 85-86 lights I believ.. and my current 87 had one of each when I got it.

The lights themselves are the same. The difference is in the mounting bucket. If yours didn't get damaged you can swap it.

 

Caleb does indeed like the newer markers. He got all of mine.
