January 7, 200620 yr no go in 2hi or 4hi but goes in 4lo, it does a slight grind in 2 and 4hi, its not the CV axles they are brand new and when i roll the car ahead the rotate as normal, i was blasting through a ditch and popped it in to 4x4 then out again and it wouldnt go, guess its all that turbo power
January 7, 200620 yr There maybe something interfering with the linkage and keeping it from going into hight range.
January 7, 200620 yr Author i will check tomorrow but seems to shift fine i get 3 shift points, gonna take into my shop and shift from under car, and if it keeps pissin me off im gonna sell it
January 7, 200620 yr The place you wan to look is on the top of the transmission near the starter. That's where the Hi/Lo linkage is.
January 7, 200620 yr Author ya that was it, was too daark last nite but now its light found a stick wedged up in there
January 7, 200620 yr haha. i took my 2wd hatch wheelin and i found a fair sized log shoved up in the linkage, thought i broke something when i couldn't take the car out of D.
