Hello, I am new at this. I purchased a 88 xt a couple of years ago and it never has started cold without pumping the gas even though it is fuel injected, any ideas anyone?

Might start by replacing the fuel filter. Drivers side firewall, make sure you crimp the hose or remove the fuse, its high pressure.
