While rebuilding my ea82t i forgott to put in one bolt holding the engine halfs together, the bolt is located under the head and goes from one side of the engine thru the center cranck shaft bearing. Of course i didn't notice the extra bolt before i torqued up the heads.

 

Is the lack of this bolt going to affect the engine?

Can I reuse the head gasket if i take the head off?

Is the bolt on the drivers or the passangers side?

Ordered a new headgasket. figured out there was stupid to risk a engine over a few dollars and an halv hour work when I already have put over 1500usd and a lot of houres on it.

Yeah, you should only need to remove the head where the bolt inserts from, so 1 gasket is all thats lost.
