My GL has a golf ball in place of the hi/lo lever and I don't like it. I've twisted as hard as I could with a death grip but it wouldn't budge. Tried the same with a couple stock handles at junkyards, no luck. Twist clockwise maybe? A solvent?

LOL sounds classy. Normally they are an "anti-clockwise" affair. Sounds like someone has glued the sucker on there. Maybe it needs some "coaxing" with some vice grips or something.

In my 87 GL... twist counter clockwise... comes right off. Never been stuck on any of my D/R cars.

 

My brats on the other hand... wouldnt budge!
