when you put your 5 spd d/r in ,did you experience what felt like bind in the front end?it only happens when i am going around corners.

 

did i maybe happen upon a fulltime?my axles fit....?

this happened to me when i first put a D/R in my auto car. i thought i had the wrong gear ratio diff. so i got a different rear diff. it was then worse. i just drve the crap out of it. (trans was under warrenty) and it was all good. trans had been sitting for years. maybe something just needed to be loosened up. this was 4 years ago, havent had any prob since.

it just may be the different feel.but man it feels like it is binding.weird.i'll let it go for a day or so and see how it feels.

let me drive it and watch the tires as you drive it. it might just be the size of the tires. Might get better when you put in the LSD (more push from the back? or would that be only with a FT4wd?)...

that would be ft4wd........it might be a ft4wd.it.s from a 90's loyale.and i don't think it was original

I don't suppose you can read any part numbers or serial numbers off of it?

Can you not tell FT4WD from P/T 4WD by the linkage? That and the FT did not have much reduction in Low.

with the FT, you'll notice the 4wd linkage has 3 positions where the part time has 4.

You'll notice a major difference...

i guess that my linkage tweaked when i mounted it......it has been moved now.and the 4wd lever goes all the way down .i have to say that i have been under some stress and i guess i was trying to rush it.it is my daily driver ya'know. i am the king........

 

on a positive note....i can do 65 in 4 hi.

so that *did* fix the bind?

will find that out this morning.

nope ,no bind.it still is really grabby.i went to the rgavel pit after work and it seems that i need a witness to check me out from the exterior of the vehicle .i'll get ruda to check it out this weekend.
