New Subaru?

I currently own a 94 Jeep Wrangler, it is my first car and the only thing i've driven for any long peroid of time. I need a car that has a metal roof, A/C, lockable doors, mileage measured in mpg not gpm, a stereo i can hear on the highway w/o permanent hearing damage, etc... I'll be keeping the Jeep for recreational reasons and convertable days. I still want a DD that can handle snow and driveing over things (smaller things tho). I figure getting a car with some capabilities is better than getting some wussy SUV. Anyone have any experience adding a few inches of lift to a newer model Imprezza or Legacy? How bad of an idea is this? Anyone got pictures????

you can use the search function, Austin, Zapar, Noah, and myself have lifted imprezas, and many others have lifted their new-gen subarus, look for 'roll call for lifted rigs'
